Saturday, August 05, 2006 ![]() ![]() went for lunch with parents at this coffeeshop at kovan, coz dad said the beef noodle stall there is very famous. so me and dad both ordered a bowl each, mine is the dry mixed version (which includes beef slices and beef tripes) which is only yellow noodles (in the 1st picture), and dad's the dry mixed version with mixture of kway teow and beehoon. well, overall its not dat bad. the sauce is thick and flavourful, there are sufficient beef slices and the portions are pretty filling (it comes in $3/4/5). their chilli is oso pretty fiery, and coupled with the peppery sauce, it gives quite a kick! however, i tink their soup is pretty average only, the beef flavour isn't very prominent, and also the herbal flavour. mum ate the char kway teow at another stall in the same hawker centre. her comments were that it was nothing very special, and they were pretty stingy with the ingredients. much better ones can be found elsewhere. Beef noodle stall (the only one there) the coffeeshop at kovan, abt 5 mins from heartland mall towards ntuc, facing a clinic on the left Rating: 3/5 |
