Thursday, June 08, 2006 ![]() ![]() went to celebrate a friend's birthday at Forum (i think) Seafood Restaurant along Boat Quay. The food there was pretty ok, but since we both couldnt eat much, we only ordered 2 dishes and a dessert. had Chicken with Mango in Thai sauce (2nd pic, bottom), Chilli crab with 2 deep-fried buns (2nd pic, top) and their heart-shaped Mango pudding (1st pic) specially for my friend. Quality of food was acceptable, the chicken was like any other chicken cutlet with a slightly spicy and sour Thai sauce and slices of fresh mango on it. Nothing much of a 'wow' factor. The chilli crab was ok too, wasnt very spicy because we told them to use less chilli. Had the 2 buns to dip in the sauce, which was pretty ok, not too bland, and not too thin. But it could be a little thicker and maybe a little more flavour? The mango pudding was pretty ordinary, like most of the other puddings u can find in seafood restaurants. the only nspecial thing is the heart-shape. but its a pity they dun serve it in dry ice like sum restaurants do. would definitely add to the visuals. :) Price-wise was average too. total bill came up to $80+, including a pot of tea and the works. service was not bad though. the manager/supervisor was pretty attentive to our needs and the waitresses refilled our tea and changed our plates often.
